During the years since I first entered the healthcare field as a physician assistant, clinical areas of particular interest and experience have included Hematology, Oncology, Internal Medicine, and Palliative Care. Teaching has remained a focus of my professional life, and I have taught physician assistant students in classroom and clinical settings for more than 25 years. Assisting students in developing increased awareness of health disparities and the importance of cultivating empathy, compassion, and resilience during clinical training remain central to my teaching.
